TGI frickin' F!

Yay! It's Friday!

Today is a GREAT day to be me.

Thanksgiving is also next week. What does thanksgiving mean to you? Are you who is reading this from a family that celebrates the american tradition?

I always look forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas. Not for the presents, I can buy my own junk....I look forward to these holidays becasue mhy Grama and my Aunt make the best dinners around. My family is very important to me. I have always kind of been the black sheep...daughter of a stage musician....always took my own way.....well now that I have grown up, and put myself through college and created a lucrative career as a multimedia designer, my family looks at me a lot differently. They thought I would end up like my pops....but I diddn't. A lot of people dream of having the live that I have lived...bring a band brat, moving all the time, being in dirty smoky clubs with the loud music, meeting famous and semi famous people....Its not all that it is cracked up to be.

The holidays are especially important to me because growing up without a family unit around me, without the gramas and the aunts and the moms has really made me appreciate the short time that my family does come together. Well what is left of my family anyway.

This year it will only be my grama, my aunt pattie, my cousin phillip and prob his girlfreind. My dad is in Chicago working on an album...I miss him so much, but he is happier there than he was here. I don't mind when Phillip and his girl dont show up, because they never go to see my Grama or My aunt anyway, they are always too busy. Coming around just because there is food on the table is pretty damn tacky, because there are 363 more days in the year to spend with them where they do not benefit materially.

At any rate, I am very much looking forward to taking my pup to the park and running him for a while. Then I plan on sleeping late and watching movies. I want to see Willy Wonka with Johnny Depp....I have been waiting for it to come out on DVD because I have netflix. Actually. someone should inform Netflix that i am paying them, because my movie never came. It was supposed to be here on Wednesday, along with a very cool Japanese flick I have been dying to see. I dont understand people who only watch mainstream cinema. To me that is like only watching FOX news all the time. Blahze.

So, until next week, have a great weekend and make sure your family knows that you love them. Live for life and cherish the time you have with people close to you.

I am going to go see WALK THE LINE this weekend. Boy do I miss you, Mr. Johnny Cash.
